Flickrista and January projects.

For those who enjoy keeping up to date with some of the best photographer on flickr be sure to check out www.flickrista.com. The gentlemen who runs it does a great job of finding new work and bringing attention to those who deserve it. I’ll use the site for inspiration and to see what’s “in”. If you pay close attention you will notice shooting/retouching patterns that people follow. You’ll also see some work from yours truly on there ;) 

The month of January is going to be a busy one. I moved in my studio only a couple months ago and still have to finalize furniture locations in it. I’m still trying to make a decision on certain gear storage cabinets and floor type. Believe it or not, It’s tough trying to make ~1400 sq ft. as usable as possible. Another project is getting the makeup area installed in there. I teamed up with a great local MUA  whom i have been working together for a while now. I’ve been getting nothing but good results from her so it was an easy choice for me. 

Closer to the end of January I’ll be on the road for a 3 day campaign in Louisiana for a teen retailer. Traveling is definitely a huge perk of the business. I love getting to experience new places and people. The first day will be in Baton Rouge and then moving the shoot to Lafayette via production RV.  We might even spend some time in New Orleans which will be awesome!
